Barry Bonds cracked 2 homeruns as the Santa Fe Trailer Bitches outscored the
Dominican Republicans 10 to 5.
Bonds enjoyed a big day at the plate. He lashed a single in the 1st inning,
emptied the bases with a Grand Slam homerun in the 4th inning and smashed a
two-run homer (his 25th of the season) in the 6th inning. Santa Fe out-hit
Dominican for the game, 11 hits to 8.
Chris Carpenter(11-4) was the winner allowing 5 runs in 5 and 2/3 innings.
Jake Westbrook got the save, his 3rd. Kyle Lohse(2-7) suffered the loss. He
allowed 3 homeruns in 3 and 2/3 innings of work.
Bonds was in a good mood after the game, 'I'm just seeing and hitting the ball
real well now. I made some adjustments last week and they are paying off.
